In case you missed it, the board of OpenAI abruptly fired CEO Sam Altman late in the afternoon on Friday, November 17th. OpenAI of course is the company behind ChatGPT and DALL-E, and has been working towards a goal of developing an artifical general intelligence (AGI) software.
The Internet is rife with stories and speculation on this, and what it means broadly speaking.
